my friend Kat from Toulouse came out for the weekend too. was good to see her before she left for her cruise job.

so far my face feels really soft and clean. and tight! in a good way. no saggy spots for me. anyway I haven't really changed up the routine… the usual skin care cleansing gel, sea salt facial scrub, and the tonic. I did however add one new thing BEFORE the moisturizer

the defend and restore night crème
Helps skin to recover and recharge while moisturizing thirsty cells, encouraging collagen production and reducing the signs of aging.
I know I most certainly need this stuff.
after that I put on my moisturizer.. sealed for the night.

tonight I also decided to do my feet. cause we all know if you a person that likes to run barefoot and gets cracked feet then you know how I feel.
so I first sprayed a detoxifying foot spray that “eats away at the dead skin” GROSS youd thing but minty and cool.
then I used my all time favorite margarita foot crème… smells sooo wonderful!!

a job well done when it comes to make up always starts with the base of the look. i.e. the secret agent cover up

if you have red spots, blemishes or anything else…”red” use the green. I remember it like christmas colors. red and green. hides the imperfections.

green dots. rub the product in till it either disappears or where it blends in enough you wont notice later.
next step. the yellow. I remember black and yellow like a bruise…which is what the black circles under your eyes are…bruises. so to cover those up use the yellow product.

and that’s what both the green and yellow look like blended in.
next if you have over sized pours or scars and have always wanted that air brushed look. the clear product is what you want. it goes on feeling feathery and light. and a little goes all over the face! I promise you

next you want to use a foundation. I use a powder mineral foundation with a special soft sponge.

proper coverage if you DON’T want that line around your jaw and ears which is really rather unattractive. so evenly spread the foundation thru to the hair line, down your neck, and over your ears. so it looks like a complete look. and you don’t do to much cause you don’t wanna look like a caked weirdo. just gross and fake!

my next big problem is my eye brows. I usually don’t have eyebrows cause they are SOOOOO light! so I used a brow color kit. to keep them from looking feathery and to give them some color.

I look silly with no color to my face…but everything I use it mineral makeup. I use the light powder color to the far left. and then the wax on the far right to control and keep the color all day long.

to start off I used my older set of skincare since I still had it. why waste it right? so in the shower I washed my face 1st with

the skinlogics 20s set cleansing gel. to loosen dirt and other nasties

I used the skinlogics 20s set facial scrub. and that takes away dead skin and under lying dirt and nasties. making your skin feel softer

next

the skinlogics 20s set tonic. tonics don’t contain alcohol so they don’t dry out your skin like most toners. this evens out your skin tone and gives it a moist feel. you don’t need much of any of these really. a little really does go a very long way. so on a cotton ball squirt just a little bit of the tonic and rub it over the face and neck and chest area.

this is what my face looked after the first 3 steps.

next step. since I have blemishes..and lets face it who doesn’t? I used my zit zapper! and let me tell you best thing EVER!

you take the white end of the zit zapper and put it on all your blemish spots. usually your supposed to wait till evening to put the clear on but I use it one right after the other and it works faster.

next I have a problem with dark circles under my eyes and wrinkles too. so I used

first you wanna use the spa solutions under eye dark circle and puffiness solution. roll from inside corner of the eye to the outside. goes on wet, so pat it gently until it rubs in.
next use the microderm eye-x-cel cream on top of that. seriously a little goes a very very long way. so like the roller, go from inside of the eye to the outside and gently rub it in. make sure to use your ring finger as it is a gentle touch under the eyes which have very soft sensitive skin.
my after face :

next I pampered my lips. because no matter what your lips need treatment too. so don’t neglect them. most chap sticks are not good for your lips because they eventually dry out your lips causing you to lick and pick the dead skin and sometimes still makes your lips crack and bleed. so please take time to pamper you pout :)
there's a special mask for your lips. looks silly but the end results are wonderful!

its just a simple white paste that you rub on your lips. in circles all the way across and also over your lip lines. it dries and becomes flakey. that’s what you want! so get a paper towel and hold it under your chin and rub it off letting the flakes fall. whatever's left…don’t lick off it tastes horrible. take a wet paper towel and gently rub it off.
after put a lip balm on top. preferably the one that comes with it

comes in a duo container. lip balm on top. mask on bottom
next I did my sun block and my moisturizer to seal the deal.

ALWAYS!!! wear the sunblock! no matter what!! if u walk outside for an hour make sure you used your cell block c! please. use that before the moisturizer because that’s the plastic wrap for the face.

3. SPA!!!!
4. some day win a trip for 2 from beauticontrol
6. get more people to BUY my jewelry instead of using me

so here is what im gonna do to achieve my goals:::

1. get annoying and bug said person to pay me for her jewelry!!! been 4 or 5 months now…
2. get my friends in southern illinois and around me to hold a spa for me.
3. get busy busy busy at joanns so they like me and keep me.
4. save my money to go on this camping trip.

I see everyone going on camping trips or out hiking or float trips and stuff and I soooooo am jealous. yes. im a jealous person. because I want to go on one because they are sooooo flippin fun!!!!

do you think people would help me buy BC products or my jewelry or both??? I HOPE SOOO! cause I deserve it all.. lol and so do you :)

30 day challenge

went to my second beauty U today. and graduated lol it was kind of fun. met some nice people. and some people who's faces and overall you could read….they screamed stuck up. but that’s ok. never gonna meet them again.

let me back track. got up at 330am today and couldn’t go back to sleep till….7 and I needed to be up in an hour. that didn’t seem to work. missed my alarm and woke up with only 15 minutes to get ready. needless to say I looked like CRAP! so went to beauty U at 9 am. had some good fun. learned things I never knew about products I've already heard of and used.

like for instance the herbal serenity collection, its good for restless leg syndrome because it has peppermint in it. also good for diabetics, and people with skin problems. pretty cool. might totally have to get some of that because I must admit I suffer from restless leg syndrome and well just love anything with peppermint in it!

ok so back to what this was supposed to be about. I think I'm gonna post a daily blog post every day for the next 30 days to record me using my beauty control products to show that they work. OH and I totally wanna win a cruise for 2. just saying…I think I deserve something special.

I thought maybe ill do a video blog…but im not too comfortable doing that plus im shy. so ill just take a couple pictures. so starting tomorrow and for the next 30 days im going to use all my products and record my progress.. and then when I get my FREE microderm set ill add that into my routine.

id have to say its not been the best week. no I take that back just the weekend. I hate feeling like im ignored and second best some days. and it truly grinds my gears when people think of themselves before anyone else no matter what. seems like this full moon is making people crazy. I thought my idea of always putting others first before me would rub off on some…but I guess it takes more than that. hmmmdoes that look crazy enough? I think so. haha.

on a brighter note I got my paypal set up finally. and hope to get my jewelry sold to those who appreciate my work.

----kinda tired of people taking advantage of me and my work. just cause we are friends…or well used to be anyway…doesn’t mean im gonna just send you your stuff.. NO! I spend hours and my hard earned money to make something special for you.

im selfish. yes. I admit it. and im not ashamed of it. a girl is allowed to be selfish some days. just feeling like all I do is clean, cook, and do laundry. or sit and get online or watch tv. Id like to go hiking, or swimming. or for a walk. or a movie. so my best friend is a dog.

Well this week and last weekend have been ca raaaazy. Coles had a tooth ache for like ever and one night at 2 am had to take him to the er only for them to give him antibiotics and pain pills. So up till the sun came up running round town to get those. Finally got in to see the dentist the other day and they couldn't do anything too afraid to try. So he's now got an appointment with a dun dun dun oral surgen. Oi back and forth all week.
what else. Oh got a new bed too. Flipping lovely and comfy bed!!
Rooms coming along pretty nice too can't wait for drywall which should be soon then we can move in! Yaaaay
July 4th weekend went to Jim and mels house for BBQ and swimming and fun. Missed fireworks totally bummed about that :( kept hearing them but never saw any. Ugh oh how I miss the fireworks and the river front carnival. Hopefully I'll be able to go!
Hmm not much this week. But I got offered a place that could maybe hire me. Totally would love tht. Another daycare.
Well hopefully since I'm trying this on my iPod it works if not laaaaame app. I can post cute pictures from the week tomorrow.

the last night I was at the hobbs house was probably the most fun of the whole week. we tried to pull an all nighter but it didn’t last much longer than 2 or 3 for all of us. we stayed up alternating computers to play runescape with each other or other computer games.

we made brownies for our last sweet of the week. lol this time we added melted butterscotch chips for icing and BOY was that AMAZING something I would definitely do again. just have to pace myself on those. soooo rich! but so good!

tyler was the first official taster for those. and I think might have gone back for 2. but it was too sweet for more. haha.

Cole brought out petey when he came to pick me up. gave petey back to alicia. yes I miss him but at the same time I don’t. haha he got along with heidis cat real fast.

though I think the cat didn’t really know what to do around a dog. it was batting at peteys face when he first got there. haha

cole showed the boys his empire game while we waited for the rest to get home from girls camp. they seemed very interested. enough to say “mom I know what I want for my birthday” hahaha they seemed to get along fast too. which was good.

WOW can you say HOT? hot was an understatement for this past weekend. gosh am I blessed to be able to stay in the A/C or have some form of cooling..

this year I camped with the natives. its was actually quite nice being in some sort of shade. we were right next to the “battle field”. spent time going back and forth from the native camp to the british camp to spend time with the family and to eat a bunch of cake :)

on our way to graduation mom thought it would be cool to go on kaskaskia rd…which was indeed still floaded from the past rains. she told me to get out and walk to see how deep it was. I walked the entire road still it cleared up. the water felt nice! the road underneath however did not feel too nice on already sore feet. but it was fun!

got to hang with the natives as they went on their usual picture rounds. so I got some nice pictures there. and then some of the short skirmish in the battle field. looked like everyone indeed had some fun.

sam graduated this past weekend and I had the honor of attending the ceremony with my family :) it was also june fort weekend so it was a blessing to get out of the heat for a few hours too.

last week heather asked me if I would like to “babysit” the boys while they went to girls camp. well as I'm sure everyone is aware this year has been flipping INSANE with storms and rain and damage. and we happen to be sandwiched in-between some of the worst.

so everyone knows about the flood going on this year. and here it was pretty big…for most people. cole said it was well above where he has ever seen the water. I can only imagine what its like in other places.

I pray that clarksville has good help with sandbagging this year. poor fort massac is under water. good thing the wedding has been moved back. otherwise we would be swimming!

since being here i have really realized how much i adore cooking..like ALOT. and trying new foods and new recipes from all sorts of people i freaking LOVE cooking.

the other day i made bottle of pop chops that Meredith riddle gave me. it was mmmm i havent eaten pork in nearly 2 or maybe 3 years and that was the best pork chop ive had.

to go along with that i made corn on the cob and sweet corn cause im not a cob person. and made buttery layered biscuits for the sides. that will be a recipe i use again for sure :)

ive also made my potato tacos with extra mexican cheese this time and they were a hit. im glad i can cook for these guys and they like it.

made cookies that i think i was the only one to eat but they were peanut butter chunky cookies….

they didnt burn so i dont know why 2 guys who like peanut butter didnt eat them… but thats ok. more for me.

ive also made garlic/onion chicken breast. (these guys say its moist and better than normal) not complaining there.

cole likes his with EXTRA cheese can you tell? :)

i like cooking for them. its fun. especially when they come in from working on the room for a lunch break. “whats cooking? enough for me? that smells yummy” something like that.

me sam cody and braden all road down in sams car and when i walked down the drive way i got hugged and painted up at the same time…and yes….it was a BLAST.

Jessica and Josh ( her bestie ) hung white sheets up everywhere and painted them with glow in the dark paints and the floor too got painted…although not intentionally. so everyone was slippin and sliding but that all added to the fun :)

12th night ball – large party for reenactors mostly usually 12 days after christmas.

it seems each year keeps getting bigger and then theres a dip where it gets smaller and then 2 or 3 years in a row it gets bigger and bigger. its probably one of the most fun dances ive been too. and it helps hold together a person whos craving an event. oh how I dearly HATE the off season

its never a dull moment (:

dont mind the derby thing…although it indeed was a season kickoff party for reenactors and the few civis who come back every year to party the right way :p

i dont think i could ever get tired of this party…

sometimes i think we have more fun sitting around the table and listening to people and the music and talking than we do dancing. every year theres always new people and always the same people. but it never gets old.

week 1 in the Lawrence residence

was nice the first few days down here. went on a walk around town. its quite nice to know that you can walk a block and there's a grocery store or a gas station. surrounded by cute little restaurants and other chain eateries like mcdonalds or dairy queen.

guys spent a couple days outside working on the new room and finally laid the outline for the….WALK IN CLOSET AND BATHROOM. i hope to be able to work on my scrap books in the closet..

or cole have a place to get away from everyone and game…

im just excited to maybe put some “girly” touches to the room and move in…

one thing i love about it out here. i get to do pretty much all the cooking…and i get to experiment… :) finally had this dish called “italian beef”

needless to say it was AMAZING and i went back for 3rds. :) i owe the idea to cole flipping thru cook books in the kitchen and finding it. otherwise i never would have heard of it or tried it. cole and his dad… are really good cooks. even though i have been doing alot of cooking they are still good cooks.

cole helping me make cheesy chicken enchiladas for dinner. hes got the whole rhythm down on how its supposed to be made…i just made the chicken all tasty and moist.

mmmm tasty and yes it was GONE in a flash :p one of my favorite dishes he makes. that and his cheesy rice casserole

ive made crack dip and thought id be the only one to eat it cause cole doesnt like cream cheese but he LOVES the dip. :)

one of these days i shall grill chicken on the bbq or bbq a kabob or 4… i just cant wait till the warmer weather comes back.

he even does laundry. he washes and dries…and i fold. its a good team work.

todays just been a day of relaxing and movies cause its rather gloomy and chilly out today.

this past year I also had the opportunity to go see the other guys red carpet premier because…STL WON THE VOTE!! so me and my cousin tina went to go see it because of Donnie Wahlberg being one of the celebs walking down the red carpet. but he wasn’t the only one…Will Farrell was also there. the premier was surprisingly bigger than I had expected but then again it was also my first red carpet premier to see.

yes the rumors are true! cole lawrence proposed to me!! :)

and ofcourse i said yes!!

a couple weeks ago he had told me his grandma had found a ring and he showed me. and it fit. it was a gold ring with diamonds and his birthstone. but that wasnt my ring.

then the week of massac he told me that the ring i had liked was really from dublin ireland! and that he was looking at the address. well i wasnt thinking of the box…cause the address is on the site.

during massac while we were talking around and shopping he had said something about how rings are expensive and that he had already bought me a ring. i wasnt paying much attention and when he repeated it it didnt even register my ring!

so yesterday while i was sitting on his bed i was on the phone with my mom and he was in and out of the room. when he came back i got off and he said i bet i know something that would make you feel alot better.

i open the box after thinking it was the ring his grandma found but it was MY RING!!!

i started crying and hes like try it on.

i told him to put it on my finger and he did and he asked me to marry him!!

this past weekend was the big event up in Kohkohmah Indiana. it was a pretty big event. more for the reenactors than the public but hey we like this kinda thing anyway… :)

a friend of meagans got a hold of my camera sunday and went crazy taking pictures of me and cole. but im not complaining :]

my friend geoff got promoted to Sgt Major. and Larry who was the previous sgt major retired and moved to doing the cannons again.

Max got promoted to “imperial leader” of the seven years war organization on top of his recent promotion to commander of the french.

and cant forget T the horse. hes being retired to now pull the cannons instead of working calvary.

cole is not normally in the uniform of a soldier but as a native. i talked him into going as a soldier this weekend…and now its hard to choose which i like better. lol he had to learn all the drills so that he could participate in battles and in colors with the rest of the soldiers.
